I like to use found objects as frames. In this case, the frame is an old mirror frame. This is an example of which came first, the image or the frame? I had the frame lying around and it didn’t seem to work with any particular image. For some time I had an idea for the two interconnected figures, but it wasn’t until I had both frame and image around each other that I realized that they were perfect together. The two knobs in the top of the frame, visually unified by color and material, are a key element of this piece. Two Overall Views. Polychromed Wood Relief with Canvas Collage 43" X 20" $2,000.
